Antoinette Sedillo Lopez

Antoinette Sedillo Lopez is an American politician and attorney serving as a member of the New Mexico Senate since 2019. Before entering the legislature, she had a distinguished 27-year career as a law professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she specialized in ethics, civil procedure, and family law. A political progressive, she has advocated for policies such as Medicare for All and environmental protections, including a proposed moratorium on fracking. She also served as the executive director of Enlace Comunitario, a non-profit organization supporting families affected by domestic violence.
