Antonio Nicoletti

Antonio Nicoletti is an Italian politician and urban planner who has served as the Mayor of Matera since 2025. An expert in strategic territorial planning, he previously held significant management roles, including serving as a director for the Municipality of Matera and as General Director of the Basilicata Regional Tourism Promotion Agency (APT). Throughout his career, he has focused on integrating modern digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, into regional tourism and urban management. He holds a degree in engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari and a doctorate in urban planning from the University of Naples Federico II, and he has served as a lecturer in marketing and urban management.
