Aren Mkrtchyan

Aren Mkrtchyan is an Armenian politician who served as a Member of the National Assembly of Armenia from the Civil Contract party, initially elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2021. He later resigned from parliament in late 2025 to transition into regional leadership as the Governor of Lori Province. Prior to his political career, he worked as an editor for media outlets including the '1in.am' news site and the newspaper 'Zhamanak'. He graduated from Yerevan State University in 2012 with a degree in geography and geology.
