Arend Kisteman

Arend Kisteman is a Dutch politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives since December 2024, representing the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). Before entering national politics, he was a bakery owner in Zwolle and served as the chairperson of the Netherlands Bakery and Patisserie Entrepreneurs Association. His political involvement grew during the 2021–23 energy crisis, where he advocated for small and medium-sized enterprises. In parliament, he focuses on economic affairs, climate policy, and education, including initiatives to promote childhood literacy.
