
Arvydas Anušauskas

Arvydas Anušauskas is a Lithuanian politician and historian who has served as a member of the Seimas since 2008. A specialist in the history of the KGB and Soviet repressions in Lithuania, he previously held the position of Minister of National Defence from 2020 to 2024. Before entering politics, he had an extensive academic career, serving as a research fellow at the Lithuanian Institute of History and as the head of the Genocide and Resistance Research Centre of Lithuania. He is a member of the Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats.
