
Arvydas Pocius

Arvydas Pocius is a Lithuanian politician and retired Lieutenant General who currently serves as a Member of the Seimas. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished military career, serving as the Chief of Defence of Lithuania from 2009 to 2014 and later as the Ambassador to Romania. A former champion in freestyle wrestling and judo, he played a significant role in the restoration of Lithuanian independence, notably guarding leaders of the Sąjūdis movement. Since 2019, he has been active with the Homeland Union party, where he has held leadership roles in the Klaipėda branch.
