Ashraf Sobhy

Ashraf Sobhy is an Egyptian politician and academic serving as the Minister of Youth and Sports of Egypt since 2018. A professor of sports management at Helwan University, he holds a Ph.D. in Sports Administration from Helwan University and the University of Iowa. Before his ministerial appointment, he held various leadership roles, including head of the Cairo International Stadium Authority and assistant to the Minister of Youth and Sports. Sobhy is also a former competitive karate athlete and has extensive experience in sports marketing and administration.
