Ashwamedh Devi

Ashwamedh Devi is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly representing the Samastipur constituency, having won the seat in the 2025 Bihar assembly election. A member of the Janata Dal (United) party, she has had a long political career, previously serving as a Member of Parliament for the Ujiarpur constituency in the 15th Lok Sabha. Additionally, she served as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from the Kalyanpur constituency between 2000 and 2009. In 2023, she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Bihar State Commission for Women, where she focused on addressing issues affecting women across the state.
