Rajiv Ranjan Singh, widely known as Lalan Singh, is an Indian politician currently serving as the Minister of Panchayati Raj and the Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. A prominent leader of the Janata Dal (United), he represents the Munger constituency in the Lok Sabha. Throughout his career, he has held various ministerial positions in the Bihar state government and served as the national president of his party. Singh began his political journey in the 1974 movements led by Jayaprakash Narayan and has remained a significant, albeit occasionally controversial, figure in Bihar politics.
