Devesh Chandra Thakur

Devesh Chandra Thakur is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament for the Sitamarhi Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar. A long-time member of the Janata Dal (United), he previously held significant roles in state politics, including serving as the Chairman of the Bihar Legislative Council and as a Cabinet Minister for the Disaster Management Department. Known for his extensive tenure in the Bihar Legislative Council representing the Tirhut Graduate Constituency, he has been a prominent figure in regional politics for decades. His career began in the Indian National Congress before he transitioned to the JD(U).
