Astrid Fodor is a Romanian politician of Transylvanian Saxon ethnicity who has served as the Mayor of Sibiu since 2014. Initially assuming office on an interim basis following the election of Klaus Iohannis to the Romanian presidency, she was subsequently elected by the municipal council and later confirmed by popular vote in the 2016, 2020, and 2024 local elections. Before her mayoral tenure, she served as the Deputy Mayor of Sibiu from 2008 to 2014 and held various roles in the private and religious sectors, including as an economic director for the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Romania.
