Auke van der Goot

Auke van der Goot is a Dutch politician and retired civil servant who has served as a member of the Senate of the Netherlands since June 2023. Representing the Independent Politics Netherlands (OPNL) alliance, he previously held a long-standing career as a policy advisor at the Ministry of the Interior from 1999 to 2022. Educated in history and economics at the University of Groningen, Van der Goot has focused his professional and political work on regional cultural policy, the Frisian language, and bilingual education.
