Babalwa Lobishe is a South African politician serving as the Executive Mayor of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality since October 2024. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), she previously represented the party in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature from 2019 to 2023. Earlier in her career, she served as a local councillor and a member of the mayoral committee in Nelson Mandela Bay. In December 2021, she was elected as the ANC's Regional Chairperson for the Nelson Mandela Bay branch, and she later served as the municipality's deputy mayor before ascending to the mayoral office.
