Badr Abdelatty is an Egyptian diplomat and politician serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt since July 2024. Born in Asyut in 1966, he holds a PhD in International Relations from Cairo University. Throughout his extensive diplomatic career, he served as Egypt's Ambassador to Germany (2015–2019) and held various senior roles within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including spokesperson and positions in Washington, Tokyo, and Brussels. He is recognized for his expertise in international politics and Middle Eastern peace processes.
