Basílio Zefanias Muhate

Basílio Zefanias Muhate is a Mozambican economist and politician currently serving as the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Mozambique, a position he assumed in January 2025 under the administration of President Daniel Chapo. Before his appointment, he held various roles in the economic and financial sectors, including positions at BDO Mozambique, Intelec Holdings, and the Bank of Mozambique. A long-time member of the Frelimo Party, Muhate has been active in youth organizations and social activism throughout his career, contributing to the party's digital presence and policy development.
