Daniel Francisco Chapo is a Mozambican politician and lawyer who has served as the 5th President of the Republic of Mozambique since January 2025. Before his presidency, he held various administrative roles, including District Administrator of Nacala-a-Velha and Palma, and served as the Governor of Inhambane Province from 2016 to 2024. A member of the Frelimo party, he also briefly served as its interim secretary-general and was elected as the party's president in February 2025.
