Benjamin Okezie Kalu is a Nigerian politician currently serving as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria since 2023. Representing the Bende federal constituency, he previously served as the spokesperson for the 9th Assembly and has held various local government advisory roles. Kalu is a legal professional and academic, holding multiple degrees including a Ph.D. in Laws and a Ph.D. in public policy and strategic studies. He is the founder of the Benjamin Kalu Foundation and the convener of the Peace in the South East Project, which focuses on non-kinetic resolutions to regional insecurity.
