Robert M. Dyer is an American politician currently serving as the Mayor of Virginia Beach, Virginia, a position he has held since 2018. Before his election as mayor, he served for 14 years as a member of the Virginia Beach City Council. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Dyer has also maintained a long-standing career as a physical therapist and has served as a professor of government at Regent University. He holds a PhD in organizational leadership and has been re-elected to the mayoralty multiple times, most recently securing a third term in 2024.
