Brandy Fluker-Reid is an American politician serving as the State Representative for Massachusetts' 12th Suffolk district since 2021. Born in Boston, she attended the Boston Latin School and earned bachelor's degrees in social work and policy studies from Syracuse University before obtaining a law degree from Emory University. Prior to her legislative career, she worked as a teacher and as a public defender with the Committee for Public Counsel Services. In the Massachusetts House, she serves as Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on the Judiciary and is a member of the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus.
