Brian Paddick, Baron Paddick

Brian Paddick, Baron Paddick is a British life peer and former senior police officer. He served in the Metropolitan Police Service for over 30 years, rising to the rank of Deputy Assistant Commissioner and gaining national attention for his community-oriented approach to policing in Lambeth. Following his retirement from the force in 2007, he became the Liberal Democrat candidate for the London mayoral elections in 2008 and 2012. He was created a life peer in 2013 and currently sits in the House of Lords, where he advocates for liberal policies and police reform.
