Bruce Sassmann

Bruce Sassmann is an American politician and businessman currently serving as a member of the Missouri House of Representatives. First elected in 2020, he represents the 61st district following redistricting in 2022. Outside of his legislative career, Sassmann manages his family's funeral businesses and works as a landlord. In 2025, he successfully sponsored legislation to ban the sale of several invasive plant species in Missouri nurseries, including the Callery pear and Japanese honeysuckle.
