Bryce Edgmon

Bryce Edgmon is an American politician serving as a member of the Alaska House of Representatives for the 37th District. Born in Dillingham, Alaska, he is of Aleut descent and was raised in a Yup'ik-speaking household. Before entering politics, he worked for over twenty years as a commercial fisherman and served as the chairman of the board for Choggiung Ltd. Edgmon made history as the first Alaska Native to serve as Speaker of the Alaska House of Representatives, a position he held from 2017 to 2021. As of 2024, he is the most senior member of the Alaska House of Representatives.
