Burt Whaley

Burt Whaley is an American politician serving as a member of the Missouri House of Representatives for the 138th district, having been elected in 2024. Prior to his legislative career, Whaley spent 28 years in the field of education, where he served as a biology teacher, school administrator, and principal. He is also a military veteran, having served in the United States Army and the Army Reserves. During his 2024 campaign, Whaley suffered a serious injury that required him to use a wheelchair for mobility, though he successfully regained his ability to walk by the start of the legislative session.
