Busaphi Machi

Busaphi Eleonor Machi is a South African politician and educator who has served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since June 2024, representing the Inkatha Freedom Party. Before entering national politics, she worked as a teacher and school principal. Her political career began at the local government level, where she served as a councillor for the Hibiscus Coast Local Municipality starting in 2007, followed by a term as a councillor in the Ugu District Municipality beginning in 2016. She was elected to the National Assembly during the 2024 national and provincial elections.
