C. Denise Marcelle is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives for District 61, representing parts of East Baton Rouge Parish. She assumed office in 2015 after winning a special election to succeed the late Alfred C. Williams. Prior to her tenure in the state legislature, Marcelle served on the Baton Rouge Metro-Council. In 2016, she was a candidate for mayor-president of Baton Rouge and East Baton Rouge Parish. She is an alumnus of Capitol High School in Baton Rouge.
