Caspar van den Berg is a Dutch academic and former politician who served as a member of the Senate of the Netherlands from 2022 to 2024. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), he specialized in public administration and global governance, holding professorships at the University of Groningen and Leiden University. In 2024, he stepped down from his parliamentary seat to focus on his role as chair of Universities of the Netherlands. He is also an honorary doctor of Tallinn University of Technology.
