Cedric Ross Hayden

Cedric Ross Hayden is an American politician and businessman currently serving as a member of the Oregon State Senate, representing the 6th district. Prior to his election to the Senate, he served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2015 to 2023. Outside of his legislative career, Hayden is a practicing dentist and rancher, and he founded the charity Caring Hands Worldwide. In 2023, he participated in a Republican-led legislative walkout, which resulted in his disqualification from seeking reelection after his current term concludes in 2027 following a ruling by the Oregon Supreme Court. He has also been a vocal advocate regarding religious accommodation, having filed complaints citing his Seventh-Day Adventist beliefs.
