Cha Jun-taek is a South Korean politician currently serving as the Mayor of Bupyeong District in Incheon. A member of the Democratic Party of Korea, he previously served as a member of the Incheon Metropolitan Council, where he chaired the Budget and Accounts Special Committee and the Planning and Administration Committee. Before entering elected office, he worked as a legislative aide to several National Assembly members, including Song Young-gil and Hong Young-pyo. He holds a master's degree in international relations from American University and has been elected to three consecutive terms as the head of Bupyeong District.
