Yang Choong-mo is a South Korean politician and former high-ranking government official currently serving as the 18th Mayor of Namwon. A career bureaucrat, he passed the 34th Public Administration Examination in 1990 and held various key positions in the Ministry of Economy and Finance, including Director General for Public Policy and Deputy Minister for Fiscal Management. He previously served as the 4th Administrator of the Saemangeum Development and Investment Agency under the Moon Jae-in administration. In 2026, he was elected as the Mayor of Namwon representing the Democratic Party of Korea.
