Chansey Paech is an Australian politician serving as a member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly. Of Arrernte, Arabana, and Gurindji descent, he is the first openly gay Indigenous parliamentarian in Australia. Before entering politics, he was an LGBT rights activist and served on the Alice Springs Town Council. Throughout his career, he has held various ministerial portfolios, including Attorney General, and has been a vocal advocate for justice reform, remote housing, and the protection of sacred sites.
