Chris Huff

William C. "Chris" Huff is an American politician serving as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for the 28th District since 2024. A member of the Republican Party, he serves on the House Education and Public Works Committee. Huff gained legislative attention for sponsoring the South Carolina Prenatal Equal Protection Act of 2023, a proposal that sought to make women who undergo abortions eligible for the death penalty. He secured his seat in the state legislature after winning a competitive Republican primary runoff and defeating the Democratic nominee in the 2024 general election.
