Chrishantha Abeysena is a Sri Lankan politician and academic who has served as the Minister of Science and Technology since November 2024. He was elected to the Parliament of Sri Lanka representing the Gampaha Electoral District as a member of the National People's Power party in the 2024 parliamentary election. Before entering politics, he established a distinguished career in medicine and academia, holding an MBBS from the University of Colombo, an MSc in Community Medicine, and master's degrees in Buddhist Studies and International Relations.
