Christian Görke is a German politician serving as a Member of the Bundestag. Born in 1962 in Rathenow, he began his career as a teacher in 1988. He joined the Socialist Unity Party of Germany in 1985 and later became a prominent member of The Left (Die Linke). Görke served as the Deputy Minister-President of Brandenburg from 2014 to 2019 and held the position of federal chairman for his party in Brandenburg between 2014 and 2018. He was elected to the Bundestag in the 2021 federal election, representing the constituency of Cottbus – Spree-Neiße.
