遠藤忠一

Chuichi Endo is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kitakata in Fukushima Prefecture. Born in 1948, he began his political career as a member of the Kitakata City Council before being elected to the Fukushima Prefectural Assembly in 1995. During his tenure as a prefectural assembly member, he served as the Chairman of the Fukushima Prefectural Assembly. In 2018, he was first elected as the Mayor of Kitakata and has since secured re-election, most recently winning his third term in January 2026.
