Claudia van Bruggen

Claudia van Bruggen is a Dutch politician representing the Democrats 66 (D66) party. Born in 1980, she served as a member of the municipal council of Zwolle from 2014 to 2022. In February 2026, she was appointed as the State Secretary for Legal Protection and Detention within the Ministry of Justice and Security as part of the Jetten cabinet. Her career prior to this national appointment included involvement in the governance of the Mesdag institution.
