Claudiu-Daniel Catană

Claudiu-Daniel Catană is a Romanian politician currently serving as a member of the Senate of Romania, having been elected in 2024 as a representative of the Social Democratic Party (PSD). Prior to his parliamentary career, he served as a municipal councilor in Bucharest and held the position of Secretary of State at the Ministry of Youth and Sport between 2019 and 2020. His professional background includes experience in publishing and local law enforcement, alongside academic studies in economics and engineering. Formerly a prominent figure in the ALDE party, where he led the youth organization and served as a vice-president, Catană transitioned to the PSD in 2024 to pursue his current legislative mandate.
