Jonildo José de Assis, better known as Coronel Assis, is a Brazilian politician and military police officer currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies representing Mato Grosso. Prior to his legislative career, he served as the Commandant-General of the Military Police of Mato Grosso from 2019 to 2022 and held leadership roles in the Special Border Group (GEFRON) and the BOPE. Elected in 2022, he focuses on public security and law enforcement policy.
