Cristina Castro

Cristina Castro is an American politician serving as a member of the Illinois Senate representing the 22nd district since 2017. A resident of Elgin, she previously served on the Kane County Board and worked with the Illinois Housing Development Authority. Castro holds an Associate of Science from Elgin Community College and both a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. Throughout her legislative career, she has held leadership roles in various committees, including the Executive Committee, and has been recognized for her work in bipartisan healthcare policy.
