花城大輔

Daisuke Hanashiro is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Okinawa City. Born in 1971 in what is now Okinawa City, he served in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force for four years before transitioning to a career in business as a representative director of a cosmetics wholesale company. He later entered politics, serving four terms as a member of the Okinawa Prefectural Assembly, where he also held the position of Secretary-General for the Liberal Democratic Party's Okinawa branch. In 2025, he was elected as the Mayor of Okinawa City, campaigning on a platform of continuing the municipal policies of his predecessor.
