Daniel Szarata

Daniel Szarata is a German politician serving as the Lord Mayor of Halberstadt since 2021. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he previously served as a member of the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt from 2016 to 2020 and was a long-time member of the Halberstadt City Council. Before his full-time political career, he worked in public administration and project management for the state of Saxony-Anhalt. Szarata holds a degree in European Administrative Management and a Master of Arts in Public Management from Harz University of Applied Sciences.
