Danny Breen is a Canadian politician currently serving as the 15th mayor of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. First elected to the position in 2017, he was subsequently acclaimed for a second term in 2021 and re-elected for a third term in 2025. Prior to his mayoralty, Breen served as a member of the St. John's City Council representing Ward 1 from 2009 to 2017. He is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History.
