Dave Syverson

Dave Syverson is an American politician serving as a member of the Illinois Senate, representing the 35th district since 2013. Previously, he served as the senator for the 34th district from 1993 to 2013. A member of the Republican Party, Syverson has focused his legislative career on improving the state's jobs climate, reducing government size, and implementing tax caps. He is also noted for his work on health care reform, including co-sponsoring the legislation that created the Illinois Kid Care health plan. Outside of his political career, he is a business partner at Williams-Manny, Inc. and serves on the board of MercyHealth.
