David Bahati
Profile
David Bahati is a Ugandan politician and accountant currently serving as the Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives (Industry) and as the Member of Parliament for Ndorwa County West. A member of the ruling National Resistance Movement, he previously held the position of Minister of State for Finance, Planning and Economic Development. Bahati gained international attention in 2009 for introducing the Anti-Homosexuality Bill in the Ugandan Parliament. He holds an MBA from Cardiff University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants.
