David Fraser-Hidalgo

David Fraser-Hidalgo is an American politician serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 15 in Montgomery County. Born in Quito, Ecuador, and raised in Maryland, he previously worked as a police officer and in the private technology sector. Appointed to the legislature in 2013, he has focused his political career on environmental policy, including successful efforts to ban fracking in Maryland and promote electric vehicle infrastructure. He also served as the chair of the Maryland Latino Legislative Caucus from 2019 to 2024 and has been a proponent of industrial hemp legalization and stricter underage drinking laws.
