David W. Marsden

David W. Marsden is an American politician serving as a member of the Senate of Virginia, representing the 37th district since 2010. Before his legislative career, he spent 17 years as the head of the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center and served as the Acting Director of the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice. He previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2010. A notable legislative achievement includes his role as the chief sponsor of the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, which established comprehensive consumer data privacy standards in the state.
