Dean Premik

Dean Premik is a Slovenian jurist, manager, lecturer, and politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly of Slovenia since 2022, representing the Freedom Movement. Born in Celje in 1962, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana and later earned a master's degree in international economics from the School of Economics and Business in Ljubljana. Before his election to parliament, he worked as a legal professional and manager in various companies, served as a foreign exchange inspector at the Ministry of Finance, led the Expert Department at the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute of Slovenia (ZPIZ) for 17 years, and taught business and economic law at higher vocational schools. As a member of parliament, he focuses on advocating for a strong welfare state, pension and disability insurance reforms, long-term care, labor rights, and measures to combat precarious employment.
