Delphine Batho is a French politician currently serving as a member of the National Assembly for the 2nd constituency of Deux-Sèvres. A former activist with SOS Racisme and the FIDL, she rose through the Socialist Party ranks before serving as Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy from 2012 to 2013. Since leaving the Socialist Party in 2018, she has led Génération écologie and become a prominent advocate for environmental policies, including the promotion of degrowth and the regulation of pesticides. She has been repeatedly re-elected to the National Assembly and has announced her candidacy for the 2027 French presidential election.
