Dirk Hoffmeister is a German politician and educator who has served as a member of the Landtag of Thuringia since 2024. Before entering state politics, he worked for many years as a secondary school teacher specializing in German and Russian, and served as a school administrator. Hoffmeister was a member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) for two decades before joining the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) in 2024. He was elected to the state parliament in the 2024 Thuringian state election.
