Dolar Popat is a Ugandan-British politician, businessman, and life peer who has served as a Member of the House of Lords since 2010. Born in Uganda, he moved to the United Kingdom in 1971, where he built a successful career in accounting, healthcare, and hospitality. A prominent member of the Conservative Party, he has served as a Government Whip and Minister of the Crown, and currently acts as the Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
