Dorothy Gwajima

Dorothy Onesphoro Gwajima is a Tanzanian politician and a nominated member of the National Assembly. Appointed to the cabinet in 2020 by President John Magufuli, she served as the Minister of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elders and Children. Following a cabinet reshuffle in 2022, she transitioned to the role of Minister of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups. Gwajima gained significant international attention for her public stance against COVID-19 vaccinations in Tanzania, during which she promoted alternative health measures such as steam inhalation and specific dietary recipes in alignment with the administration's policies at the time.
